SIR D'ARCY SAYS GOODBYE TO THE POPE

Sir Francis D'Arcy Osborne, the British Minister to the Vatican and Mr. Philip Leigh-Smith, his secre tary. who are -71 leaving the British Ministry at the Vatican when Mr. Perowne takes up his appointment, were received recently by the Holy Father in a farewell audience.
Sir Francis has served in Rome for eleven years, five of them within Vatican City during the war. Mr. Victor Perowne is expected to arrive in Rome, to-day, Friday, June 6.
