CLERICAL CHANGES.
The Rev. Bartholomew Murphy, of Enfield, has been appointed to St. Patrick's, Soho Square, in place of the Rev. P. Harris, who has been transferred to St. Thomas's, Fulham. The Rev. W. Trotman has been transferred from Fulham to Gunncrshury, and the Rev. J. McEntee from Marylebone to Moorfields.
NO SCHOOL FOR ST. PANCRAS The application for a new elementary school for the Little Albany Street parish of St. Pancras has been turned down by the Board of Education. In order that Albany Street children be prevented from attending non-Catholic schools. Canon nonfood, the rector, has arranged for the free transport to and from St. Patrick's school. A roof garden party at Soho schools is being planned in aid of the Albany Street parish and at the parent church, the feast of the Seven Sorrows is to be specially commemorated, followed shortly by the unveiling of a new chapel to honour the English martyrs.
ALTERATIONS AT BOSCO CLUB The St. John Bosco club for working boys, in Compton Street, Soho, is undergoing extensive alteration and enlargement during the vacation weeks and will be re-opened about the middle of September. The additions include a new chapel, "gym.," and reading-rooms. A contingent of the club members have just returned from camping in the spacious grounds on the Ampleforth college estate in Yorkshire.
SERVITE OCTAVE AT FULHAM The octave of St. Philip Benizi, 0.S.M.. was observed with special solemnity on Sunday at all Servite centres in England. At Fulham Road the ancient rite of blessing and distribution of St. Philip's bread took place before high Mass and at the last Mass the Rev. A. Robinson, from Westminster cathedral, was the preacher. After Vespers for the feast, a panegyric on the famous Florentine Servite of the late thirteenth century was delivered by Fr. W. Austen, S.C.

Fr. Austen Moore, 0.S.M., from the Servite church. Fulham Road, is lying ill in the hospital of St. Anthony, Cheam, Surrey. Er. Austen, who filled several important offices in the English province, Is the only English member of the order who has held the generalship of the Servites.
MARRIAGE AT EALING PRIORY The marriage took place at St. Benedict's priory church. Ealing, last weekend, between Mr. Geoffrey Parker and Miss Margaret Vanheems, younger daughter of Mr. S. Vanheems, head of the noted house of clerical tailors. Dom E. 0. Vanheems, 0.S.B., brother of the bride, blessed the union. The bride was attended, amongst others, by her sister, Miss Betty Vanheems, who had just returned from a visit to the Antipodes. A reception was afterwards held at Woodville Gardens.

WEST BATTERSEA ORDINATIONS At the ordination in the Sacred Heart church, West Battersea, on Sunday, Mgr. Amigo raised to the priesthood Thomas Bell, Patrick Erskine, Charles McDonnell and George Gladstone. All four priests are for the Salesian congregation. Fr. G. Gladstone, S.C., celebrated his first Mass on the following day in the college chapel.
NEW ',ORLEY CHURCH
For the first time, the new English Martyrs' church at Horley. Surrey, was used last Sunday when Mass was celebrated. It has been built largely through the instrumentality of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Sheed. The Rev. John F. Healy, D.D., of the Bishop's secretarial staff, was celebrant of the two Masses at each of which there were present about 65 persons. The afternoon's Benediction also attracted a large crowd.
PATRONAL FEAST AT STREATHAM
The enlarged church of St. Bartholomew, Streatham, whose rector, the Rev. A. Trew, recently kept his silver jubilee, ob served on Sunday the putronal feast. At high Mass the panegyric was preached ba Fr. .R. Mangan, S.J., from Roehampton. Fr. Trew, in addition to his Norbury parochial duties, acts as chaplain to the Streatham Park cemetery, part of which is consecrated for Catholics. Front January 1 nearly 350 burials have taken place there.
