The foundation stone Of the first permanent parish church in the ancient Catholic centre of Glastonbury was laid by Mgr. William Lee, Bishop of Clifton, on Saturday.
The new church has been dedicated in honour of Our Lady of Glastonbury. It will also serve as a memorial to the last martyred abbot of the great Benedictine abbey.
