Eucharistic Congress to be revived soon ?

THE revival before long of
the International Eucharistic Congress—the last of which was held at Budapest in 1938— is foreshadowed by the Holy Father's nomination of the Bishop of Troyes, Mgr. Le Couedic, as vice-president of the Permanent Committee and of Fr. Giuseppe Missaglia, a Consultor General of the Priests of the Blessed Sacrament, as secretary.
They will serve for 10 years. President of the committee is the Archbiehop of Ottawa, Mgr. Vachon,
who was appointed last year.
The congress, normally held every three years, brings together Cardinals, Bishops, priests and laity from all parts of the world, under the presidency of a Papal Legate.
A congregation estimated at 1,000,000 attended Mass in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, during the congress there in 1932.
