EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS
World gathering in Munich in 1960
THE Holy Father has approved the decision that the next International Eucharistic Congress shall be held in Munich in 1960.
The congress, held every four years, met last year in Rio de Janeiro. The last congress in Europe was in Barcelona in 1951.
The gathering in Munich will be the 37th International Eucharistic Congress. It will be attended by Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops, priests and many thousands of pilgrims from most of the countries in the free world.
