CONFERENCE WITH THE POPE Uncompromising View Of Spain
Cardinal Goma y Tomas, Archbishop of Toledo and Primate of Spain, left Rome on Sunday to return to his archdiocese.
The Cardinal was received on Saturday morning in farewell audience by the Pope; it is recalled that the Cardinal was the first visitor received by the Holy Father since his recent illness and he is the only visitor outside the immediate papal circle who has been so received.
The pastoral letter of Cardinal Goma published recently is of the first importance to anyone wishing to understand the situation in Spain; here are points from it.
