AN " OCCASIONAL REVIEW"
The Council of Christians and Jews, of which the late Cardinal Hinsley was one of the Joint Presidents, and whose aims are concerned with the combating of racial and religious intolerance and the promotion of understanding and goodwill between Jews and Christians, has decided to issue from time to time an Occasional Review.
The first number of this review has just appeared, and copies, which are sent free of charge to associate members of the Council, are available to all others interested at a cost of 6d. per copy (post free 7d.). They may be obtained on application to the Organising Secretary, Council of Christians and Jews. 21, Bloomsbury Street, London, W.C.1.
Worthy of special mention among the contents is an article on the " Funda mental Task of the Council," by Lord Perth, who is an active member of its
Executive Committee. A section devoted to "News and Views " tells of the progress of the Council's work and contains a statement by the Archbishop of Canterbury on the " Basis of Co-operation between Jews and Christians." There is also included an important pronouncement by the Chief Rabbi on the Jewish attitude to the Five Peace Points of Pope Pius XII.
