Opus Del priests

FIFTY-FOUR members of Opus Del, the international Catholic association, all of them professional men, were ordained priests on Sunday in the Church of Our Lady of Montalegre, Barcelona, by Cardinal Casariego, Archbishop of Guatemala.
This is one of the largest groups of Opus Del members to be ordained (only a small percentage of Opus Dei members become priests)
In his homily, Cardinal Casariego said: "This is the first time in the Church's history that a priest has brought close on a thousand professional men* from the five continents, to the priesthood. This priest is Mgr Escriva de Balaguer."
The new priests come from 19 different countries in Europe and America.
