PRESENTATION

CANON SIMS Last Sunday (April 11) a large company of his former parishioners and old friends mustered in the hall of La Sagesse, Golders Green, to present the Very Rev. Canon Sims with a cheque for £365 on his 'retirement from the rectorship of St. Edward's. The presentation was made by Ernest Oldmeadow, K.C.S.G. Mgr. Canon Tynan and Canon Goggin, both of whom have known Canon Sims for 53 years, made happy speeches.
Father Thornton, the new rector of St. Edward's, testified to the admirable state of the parish. Canon Sims made a touching reply, and begged for the prayers for his old flock.
