2 CHESHIRE HOMES FOR POLAND

TWO Cheshire homes are to he opened in Poland, states the Cheshire Foundation. Group Captain 1.eonard Cheshire, V.C., recently visited the country to investigate the possibilities, and was given a very sympathetic reception. All the Government officials Concerned were extremely helpful. especially those of the Ministry of Labour and Social Service, and the Cheshire Founda tion was given two alternative sites near Warsaw.
The and on which they are to build has already been chosen, and it is hoped to start work this autumn before winter sets in. The first home will accommodate between 30 and 40 patients.
Apparently no contact was made with Polish Church officials.
