The best and the brightest

COLIN MOYNIHAN, MP for Lewisham East, presented prizes at the annual prize-giving ceremony at Bonus Pastor RC School, Winlaton Road, Downham, South East London, last week.
Mr Moynihan presented some 130 present and past pupils with prizes and certificates achieved during the last school year. Earlier this year, Bonus Pastor was listed among the best schools in London on the basis of the performance score of schools in the Inner London Education Authority. The certificates presented on this occasion showed that an even higher standard had been achieved in recent examinations.
Fifty pupils received prizes awarded for progress, so pupils of all ability ranges were presented with encouraging awards in the presence of their parents, the school governors and ILEA representatives.
