AS PART of the series of events marking Christian Aid Week (May 13 to IS), three London MPs will build a refugee shelter outside Westminster Abbey to focus attention on the needs of the world's homeless.
While 400,000 volunteers will deliver and collect 17 million envelopes in a nationwide doorto-door collection, Colin Moynihan MP (Lewisham East), Chris Smith MP (Islington South and Finsbury) and Simon Hughes MP (Bermondsey) will help to construct four shelters on the steps of the Abbey on May II.
A wide va'riety of local events have been arranged drawing attention to the plight of the homeless. A Belfast travel agent, Billy McCormick will attempt to cycle 1,000 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise funds.
