K.S.C. leader made a Papal Knight

THE Holy Father, at the request 1 of Cardinal Griffin, has created Mr. Lawrence Patrick Arnold, former Supreme Knight of the Knights of St. Columba, a Knight of St. Gregory the Great.
This is in recognition of his services to the Church and particularly his work for the K.S.C. order.
Mr. Arnold already holds the Papal Cross Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice, in recognition of his work as chairman of the committee that organised the Hierarchy Centenary rally at Wembley.
The son of Dublin parents, Mr. Arnold, a solicitor, served with the British and Indian Armies in the first World War and commanded a Home Guard company in the second.
He was the first chairman of the K.S.C. Club in London and is Grand Director of the Catenian Association. a Director of the Southwark Catholic Rescue Society, and a member of the Hierarchy's Action Committee for the Schools.
