rri. Holy Father has conferred eight awards in recognition of services to the Church in connection with the Hierarchy Centenary Congress.
Canon Joseph Riehard Crea, parish priest of the Sacred Heart Church, Hove, in the Southwark diocese is created a Domestic Prelate, with the title of Right Rev. Monsignor. He was vice-chairman of the Congress executive committcc.
Major Patrick Taggart, general secretaty of the Congress, is creatcd a Knight of the Order of St. Gregory the Great.
Mr. Thomas Hardwick Milner, general secretary of the Catholic Truth Society. Mr. Lawrence Patrick Arnold, Supreme Knight of the Knights of St. Columba, Mr. Robert Lawrence Everest, former president of the City of Westminster Catenian Cinole, and Mr. Alan Rye, receive the Cross Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice. All were members of the executive corninittee.

Mr. Rittner was entrusted with the arrangements for the "Catholic England" Exhibition, Mr. Arnold with the arrangements for the Wembley Rally, and Mr. Everest with the arrangements of the social functions.
Mr. Rye was responsible for the Pageant at Wembley.
Mr. Wilfrid Allan Smoker and Mr. William Robert Woolard, assistants to Major Taggart, at the central office of the Congress, receive the Benemerenti Medal.
The Bishop of Southwark, Mgr. Cowderoy, who was chairman of the Congress Committee, will present the awards at Bishop's House, Southwark, on March 10.
