Appointments

Fr -Vaughan F. J. Morgan is be the new Principal Catholic Chaplain to the Navy. He succeeds Mgr F. J. Wairnsley. the newly appointed Bishop-in-Ordinary to the Forces. Fr Morgan, aged 47, was born in Upper Hutt. New Zealand. He was educated at the Oratory School, Woodcute, Salop and studied for the priesthood at Innsbruck University. He was ordained in 1957 for service in the diocese of St Andrews and Edinburgh, by Archbishop (later Cardinal) Gray. He has been a naval chaplain since 1962.
