The present church of St. Mary at Brigg, in Lincolnshire, is to give piece this year to a new and larger building which will be built, as to its shell, around the existing structure; the latter will afterwards be demolished. Plans for the new church have been prepared by Mr. Guy Elwes. The present St. Mary's has done duty for nearly sixty-five years.
Statues of St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More were blessed, last Sunday evening, in the church of the Immaculate Conception at Penzance. In the course of his sermon for the occasion, the rector, the Rev. G. Cantell, dwelt on the love and devotion of the English Martyrs for God and for the faith. A few years hence the church at Penzance wilt reach its centenary as a fabric, It is hoped to complete the building before the centenary celebrations take place. That undertaking Fr. Centel' commends to the intercession of the two martyrs and to all who love Cornwall, the last English county to lose the Catholic faith and now making a great effort to restore it.
As a result of the recent bazaar held at Hucknall, Notts, the building fund has been brought up to £500 for the new schools and hall in that parish.
The Nativity play, God with Us, which the dramatic section of the Westminster Catholic Club is presenting this week in the Cathedral Hall, has been specially written by the Rev. Joseph Davey, of Brentford. Fr. Davey is brother to the Rev. George Davey, one of the Cathedral chaplains and one of the three priest-managers of the club. The play is produced by the Rev. A. E. S. Blount, C.F., of Aldershot.
An effort is being made to compile a complete register of old boys of Wimbledon College. Those who are not registered as members of the Old Boys' Association are asked to help in this undertaking by sending their names and addresses for inclusion in the list.
The Bishop of Plymouth visited Blandford on December 29 to attend a presentation made to the rector, the Rev. Henry O'Brien, whose silver jubilee in the priesthood was being celebrated, The presentation, consisting of a cheque and a framed list of the subscribers, took place at a gathering in the Masonic Hall, at which the Mayor of Blandford, Councillor C. S. Tripp, was also among the speakers. A separate presentation was made on behalf of the schoolchildren of the parish.

Plans have been prepared for the building, as soon as opportunity permits, of a permanent church at Woolston, Southampton. The little temporary church of St. Patrick which serves that district is attended by a congregation of nearly nine hundred persons. At Portswood, also, it is hoped to have a permanent church, as soon as sufficient money has been collected, in place of the present temporary building in Portswood Road.
