Milestone meeting in Seville

THIS year's International Eucharistic Congress. which is to be held in Seville in June, will see larger delegations than ever before from East Europe.
Archbishop Carlos Amigo Vallejo of Seville said last week that the congress would be held in the context of "a new Europe" that reflected the new participation of the Eastern Europeans.
The theme of the 1993 congress is Eucharist and Evangelisation, and up to 100,000 people are expected to attend each day's events. The British Secretary for the Congress, Fr Antony Conlon, said that "within this decade of evangelisation, the 45th International Eucharistic Congress is a milestone of massive significance".
