Wed'nesday, September 9, 7 p.m.—Takes chair at Christian Front meeting at Albert Hall, Nottingham, when Bishop Heywood (C. of E. and Dr. Hough, U.S.A. Lancaster Appointment
The Rev. Herbert Parker, parish priest of St. Joseph's, Preston, has this week transferred to St. John the Evangelist, The Willows, Kirkham, He is succeeded at St. Joseph's by the Rev. F. McGuinness, first parish priest of St. Teresees, Fishwick, which parish was formed from St. Joseph's as the result of housing developments in that portion of the latter parish.

Portsmouth Appointment
Newly-ordained, the Rev. Edward Casey has been appointed by the Bishop of Portsmouth as an assistant parish priest at Woolston, Southampton.

Westminster Cathedral
On the four Sundays in September, the evening service in Westminster Cathedral, namely, Compline, sermon and Solemn Benediction, will commence at 6 p.m. The daily evening services have been discontinued until further notice.
Southwark Travelling Mission
This week-end the Southwark Travelling Mission will assist the parish priest of Battle in the hop-gardens at Bodiam. Mass will be said at The Junction, Guinness's hop-garden, on Sunday, at 10 O'clock.
Stage Guild
A wardrobe sale is to be held in the Old Schools, St. Dominic's Priory, Southampton Road, London, N.W.5, on Thursday, September 10, at 3 p.m., in aid of the Stage Guild. The Priory is a stage on the 24 bus route.
London Catholic Guilders
A meeting for Catholic Guilders from Westminster and Southwark Dioceses and Catholic Guide visitors to London will be held at the Girl Guide headquarters, 17/19, Buckingham Palace Road, on Tuesday, September 8, at 6 p.m. Lady Clarendon, County Commissioner for London, has promised to he present, and there will be a talk on the work of the Catholic Youth Committee, followed by discussion.
