FR PATRICK JOSEPH HARTNETT has died, aged 65. He was born in Ireland and studied at the Seminary of St Patrick's in Carlow and was ordained on June 7, 1942. He first went as the assistant priest at St Peter's, Winchester, and six years later he was made parish priest of St Joseph's, Bracknell. where he remained for three years and moved to the Immaculate Conception in Christchurch. In 1959 he became Parish priest at -St Joseph's, Ge ieradyshdott, where he remained until b Fr Guy Pritchard, parish priest at St Etheldreda's, Ely, Cambridgeshire. from 1947-70, has died aged 76. Born in Fulham, London, he was educated at St Edmund's College, Ware, Christ's College, Cambridge, and the English College, Rome, where he was ordained In 1933 by Cardinal Marchetti -Selvaggiani After service at St John's, Norwich (now the cathedral), Si George, Fishergate, Norwich, and Our Lady and the English Martyrs, Cambridge, he moved to Fly. He lived in retirement from 1970 at St John's, Norwich, and Brundall, and died on January 3. Bishop Crnrk celebrated a requiem Mass for Fr Pritchard on January 10.
CANON GEORGE EDMUND EKBERY has died aged 69 as a result of an accident. George Ekbery was born in Blackburn on November 16, 1913. He was educated for the priesthood at St Bede's College, Manchester, and the Venerable English College, Rome. He was ordained priest in Rome on July 25, 1937, and stayed on at the Gregorian University to take his degree as Doctor of Philosophy. He was parish priest of the English Martyrs Church, Whalley Range, Manchester, since 1965.
FR DOMINIC DEVAS OFM has died aged 95. Fr Dominic was born in Bath on March 16, 1888, and baptised Philip. He was the last survivor of threedistinguished brothers who belonged respectively to the Jesuit, Dominican and Franciscan Orders. Fr Dominic was professed as a Franciscan at Chllworth in -1907 and ordained priest in 1911.
FR JOSEPH McCANN has died aged 71. He was born in Liverpool and studied at our colleges in Freshfield, Burn Hall, Roosendaal and Mill Hill. He was ordained in Mill Hill on July 12, 1936, and appointed to our mission In the Philippines. In 1962 he was appointed to do organising work from Herbert House. Two years later followed his appointment as procurator to Freshfleld College and in 1965 he was made rector there. In 1968 he again undertook organising work from Herbert House, of which he was appointed rector In 1969. In 1977 he wasmade vice-rector of Herbert FR JOHN CURTIN, Chaplain to The Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, has died aged 70. Fr Curtin was born at Hanwell in Middlesex. He entered the Novitiate of the Fathers of Sion in September, 1930, and was ordained on June 29, 1936. He served with the Fathers of Sion in Palestine from 1937 to 1946, and in Whetstone, North London, from 1946 to 1959. He-was Incardinated into Southwark in October, 1959. Fr Curtin then served at Deal, Welling, Folkestone and Staplehurst, and was appointed Chaplain at The Towers, Upper Bending, in October, 1965.
