THE CHURCH UNITY OCTAVE SIR, May I correct an error

in your account of the meeting, in your issue of January 21, held by the council for the " Week of Prayer for Christian Unity "? You regret that the Evening News misinterprets the meaning and purpose of the Church Unity Octase in saying that denominational differences will be shelved for the annual eight days. We equally should regret that.
But there is a confusion between the " Week of Prayer " and the Church Unity Octave, owing to the new organisation, the former, having taken the same date as the Octave. The meeting was of the former and not of the Octave.
The council of the C.U. Octave stands, as it has always done, since the Octave was founded, out of the collaboration of Fr, Paul, S.A., and the Rev. Spencer Jones, for the restoration of true canonical relations and Communion with the Holy See on the basis of full dogmatic unity.
