MEMORIAL CHAPEL TO QUEEN ASTRID Men Offer to Work for Nothing

In memory of Queen Astrid and in homage to the King, writes our Belgian correspondent, the Federation Nationale des Invalides de Guerre Beiges (the National Federation of Belgians wounded in the war) proposes to erect a chapel at Kussnacht (Switzerland) on the site of the accident which cost the Queen her life.
From the architect to the labourers all employed in the work offer their services for nothing.
According to a report a design for the chapel has already been submitted to the King. Built in the local style the cross above the steeple would mark the exact spot in the orchard where the Queen was
It seems that the King does not entirely agree with this plan as he would have preferred the orchard to have remained as it was at the time of the accident. He would prefer the chapel to be built some distance away.
In a letter which appears on page .1-2 Professor Angelo Crespi deplores the attitude towards the war taken by the Italian press and clergy.
