GENERAL IS ORDAINED

Once member of the Russian Army
GENERAL Henry Kronkrowski, a former officer of the Imperial Russian Army, has been ordained priest at the age of 68, it was disclosed in Paris last week.
Formerly an instructor at the Imperial Russian War College, he began his studies for the priesthood when he was 60 and was ordained early in July by Mgr, Feltin, Archbishop of Paris.
He celebrated his first Mass at I.ens, in north-eastern France.
General Kronkrowski ecapecl from a Siberian prison camp in 1920 and made his way to China and then to the United States. He settled in France in 1921, leaching in a school for the children of Polish miners at Lens.
He found his vocation after his wife had been killed ellen their home was bombed in 1944.
