Coffee receives Fairtrade Mark

COFFEE PRODUCERS in Mexico, Peru and Tanzania have received support from The Fairtrade Foundation. Set up by CAFOD and other major development agencies, the
Foundation has awarded the Fairtrade Mark to a new brand of instant coffee.
Produced by Cafedirect, the coffee is bought from farmers who pool their resources and collectively market and transport their coffee beans. The Fairtrade Mark is only given to products which can prove that the workers harvesting or making it get a fair return for their labour.
