FRANCISCANS UNITE TO CELEBRATE The three Franciscan - families" in this

country will unite this Sunday. the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. to honour the 750th anniversary of the approval granted by Pope Innocent Ill to the Order in 1209.
The Provincials of the Friars Minor, Capuchins. and Conventuals are to attend a Solemn High Mass to be sung by the Dominican Provincial at the Friars' Minor church, Forest Gate. East London, when the Apostolic Delegate will preside.
Pope John marked the occasion by presiding last April, at a commemorative service in the Lateran Basilica. Rome. where the approval was granted to the Friars in the 13th century.
Thi. heads of other religious orders have been invited to attend, and the Bishop of Brentwood, at present absent from the diocese. will he represented by his Vicar General.
