Vatican Diplomats Have Joint New Year Audience
Presentation of New Year greetings to the Pope by diplomats accredited to the Holy See this year took place in a collective audience, on December 31.
Fourteen ambassadors. 18 ministers and seven charge d'affaires were present.
In a short address the Pope stressed the "indivisibility of peace " for which the nations must be ready to make great sacrifices in the year 1948.
