Jacques Maritain, the French
Ambassador to the Holy See, and distinguished philosopher, will leave his post early in June for France, He is not expected to return. It is understood M. Marilain desires to resign to devote himself to his studies and lecturing.
M. Maritain was recently awarded the Leo XIII Award of the Shiel School of Social Studies, Chicago, for 1948. The award is given each year for outstanding contributions to social education.
