Korea prelate to be freed

An Irish-born missionary, Mgr. Thomas Quinlan, who has been a prisoner of the Communists in North Korea for two years, will soon be a free man again, provided Moscow carries out a promise made last week to the Foreign Office.
Mgr. Quinlan comes from County Tipperary, and is Prefect Apostolic of Chunchon. He is one of nine prisoners for whose release, the Foreign Office announced, the Russians have promised to act immediately.
The Soviet pledge was made shortly before General Chuikov, Soviet corn • rnander in Germany, had expressed regret over the deaths of seven British airmen killed when Soviet MIGs shot their plane down over the Soviet zone.
