Scouts have the third Mass at Dode Church

Scouts of the St. Thomas More group from Corpus Christi Church, Brixton, spent their summer camp in the grounds adjoining Dode Church, in Kent-the ancient church recently blessed by the Bishop of Southwark after being out of use since the Black Death.
During the camp Fr. Michael Lane, newly ordained assistant priest at the English Martyrs* Church at Strood and a former member of the group, celebrated Mass for the scouts in the old church. The Scoutmaster, Mr. F. T. Kennedy, and his son assisted at this the third Mass celebrated there in 587 years.
