Journey's End for 22 Walsingham Pilgrims

• •
Walsingham was "journey's end" last Sunday for 22 pilgrims, members of the Guild of Our Lady of Ransom, who had spent the week walking to Our Lady's shrine along the old road from London and praying for the conversion of England and Wales. The pilgrims, accompanied by Mgr. Laurance Goulder, Master of the Guild, carried with them 14,000 petitions from members and others, which they placed in the Slipper Chapel.
This picture, taken by one of
the pilgrims, shows Mgr. Collider relating the history of the ' Franciscan Friary at Walsingham—the ruins of which can be seen in the background. This is the seventh year in succession that this walking pilgrimage has taken place.
