After more than 20 years of exile in France, Great Britain and America. Don Luigi Sturzo left America last week on the Swedish rechange liner Gripsholm to return to his native Sicily, where he plans to dedicate his remaining years to aiding Italy toward recovery from the disaster of Fascism and the war.

He lists the following two conditions as necessary to enable Italy to reconstruct her political and economic life and to contribute to the restoration of Europe: (I) Italy shall not he considered as belonging to any particular sphere of influence.
(2) Her interests shall not be made a subject of bargaining because of divergent views among the big Powers.
