THE CONGRESS AT MANILA

A party to the Eucharistic Congress at Manila next February is being arranged by N.T.A., Ltd., 39, St. James's Street, S.W.1. An allotment of cabins on the s.s. Conte Rosso, sailing from Genoa on January 12 next, has been granted. This liner, an exceedingly comfortable one, will call at Naples, Port Said, Massawa, Aden, Bombay, Colombo and Singapore en route for the ehilippine Islands. On the return journey there will be additional calls at Shanghai and Hong Kong. At every port of call there will be facilities for sightseeing ashore.
During the stay at Manila the steamer will be used as a floating hotel and passengers will be taken ashore daily to the various congress ceremonies. A full programme will be available shortly and will be scnt out to all applicants.
Canon J. Mahoney, of Deptford, was able to attend the meeting of the London County Council last week for the first time since his protracted illness. He hopes to be able to resume his parochial work at the end of the month.
