Faith award

SR Stephanie Clifford of St Joseph's Centre in Westminster pastoral office for the handicapped, has been awarded the first Ravenswood International Foundation prize. Sr Clifford received a £1000 Leslie Levy award for her project — "Growth of Faith for the Mentally Handicapped".
Luton fight
PARISHONERS at Stopsley near Luton have formed an action committee in their fight to save the Sacred Heart Social Centre, threatened with closure by Bishop humus of Northampton. The bishop ordered the closure because he felt that he could no longer justify the club's involvement in gambling and the sale of alcohol.
CBS celebrates
THE Catholic Building Society will celebrate its 2 5 th anniversary with a Jubilee Mass in Westminster Cathedral on September 24.
Centenary
THE Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul are celebrating their Centenary on Saturday September 28 with a special Mass at Westminster Cathedral. Cardinal Hume will celebrate the Mass and 2,000 are expected to attend, representing all the Houses in England and Wales.
