Iran's first Ambassador to the Holy See, Hassan All Kamal Hedayat, has arrived in Rome. Diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Iran were established in May last year.
Uruguay has raised its legation to the Holy See to the rank of embassy.
The diplomatic representatives accredited to the Holy See now include 25 ambassadors, 16 ministers and one chargé d'affaires.
