Mrs V. M. T. Owen
MOTHER OF TWO PRIESTS Mrs Victoria Mary Theresa Owen, aged 85, mother of two priests of the Archdiocese of Westminster, died at Ashford, Middlesex, on Friday fortified by the last rites of the Church. Her two sons are the Rev. Wilfrid Owen, D.D., rector of Teddington, and the Rev. Edwin Owen, D.C.L., rector of Ashford.
Mrs Owen was the widow of Mr Thomas Owen, of Newcastle-on-Tyne, who died in 1925. Since her husband's death she came to live with her son at Ashford, where she gave generously and worked hard for the building of the new church.
She was a Franciscan Tertiary and a member of several Catholic societies, Including the Catholic Truth Society and the Guild of Our Lady of Ransom The remarkable progress of the Ashford mission in late years was due in great measure to her efforts.
Requiem Mass was offered at Ashford on Wednesday, and the interment followed in the family grave at Newcastleon-Tyne yesterday (Thursday).

IRISH HIGH COMMISSIONER'S BEREAVEMENT
Mrs Patrick Jubb, the former Miss Clodagh Bridget (Anne) Dulanty, aged 24, whose death took place at a London nursing home on Saturday after a long illness, was the elder daughter of Mr John Dulanty, the Irish High Commissioner in London, and of Mrs Dulanty. She was a former student of Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford.
Her marriage to Mr Charles Patrick Jubb, 26-year-old member of the B.B.C.'s programme executive staff, and son of Mr E. C. Jubb, 0.B.E., Director of Contracts in the Contract and Purchase Department of the Admiralty, end of Mrs Jubb, of Warren House, Farnham Common, Bucks, took place at the St. Patrick's Chapel in Westminster Cathedral, In January, 1936.
Mr G. F. Sharland
FORMERLY AN ANGLICAN RECTOR The death has occurred in a nursing home of Mr G. F. Sharland of Buckhurst Road, Bexhill. He was formerly rector of Foikington Church, near Polegate, and was afterwards received into the Church. Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Mary Magdalen Church by the Very Rev. W. H Munster, Superior of Brompton Oratory, an old friend of the deceased.
