MEDIAEVAL MYSTERY PLAYS Great French Revival

The revival in France of the mediaeval mystery play, beginning with the presentation of the Mystery of the Blessed Virgin. on the square in front of the Cathedral of Notre Dame at Paris four years ago, is finding new expression at the various youth gatherings to-day.
On the feast of St. Joan of Arc, pageants and mystery plays, reflecting incidents from the life of the Maid, were presented in most of the towns of unoccupied France with hundreds of youths participating and with the audience also sharing in the play as the speaking chorus.
