NEW ZEALAND'S CATHOLIC CENTENARY The Programme Outlined

The Diocese of Auckland has been asked to carry out the celebrations, next year, for New Zealand's Catholic centenary, and preparations are now well under way. The main programme will take place in Auckland City and there will be a week of rejoicing from February 27 to March 6.
Solemn Pontifical Mass in St. Patrick's Cathedral will be the first of the principal functions, and on the following day there will be a civic welcome to the Apostolic Delegate and visiting dignitaries and a Catholic welcome also. in the Western Springs Stadium Mass will be offered on one morning for women, on another morning for children, while in the same great area a demonstration for Catholic men will occupy one of the evenings. A Mass, in the Cathedral, for Maoris; a Pageant Play; a Maori celebration on the site of Bishop Pompallier's first Mass; a final Mass of thanksgiving celebrated by the Apostolic Delegate—these functions, also, are part of the crowded programme of events.
From this country the Rev. Owen Dudley, Superior of the Catholic Missionary Society, has accepted an invitation to take part in the centennial congress. Fr. Dudley will preach in the Cathedral at a service for mothers. and also will give addresses in the Town Hall and at the men's meeting in the stadium.
