Cardinal Griffin presided at the annual dinner of St. Gregory's Society, the Downside old boys' association, on Monday, at the Hyde Park Hotel, London.
Speakers included Mr. Justice Barry. the president, the Abbot of Downside, Mr. Joseph Molony, Recorder of Devizes, and Dom Wilfrid Passmore, the headmaster.
Among the guests were Archbishop Myers, the Earl of Craven, Lord Morris, Abbot Trafford, Sir William Honywood. Sir Harold Hood, Sir George Rendel, the Prior of Ealing. Mgr. Alfred Gilbey, Mgr. Derek Worlock, Mr. R. R. Stokes, M.P., and Captain Basil Jackson.
