Enthronement in Slipper Chapel

In the Holy Father's name, the statue of Our Lady of Walsinghem will he snlemnly crowned on Sunday, Feast of the Assumption, by the new Apostolic Delegate to Great Britain, Archbishop O'Hara. The ceremony will take place beneath the lone arch of the old Abbey.
The ceremony at 2.45 p.m. will be preceded by Pontifical High Mass celebrated by Bishop Parker of Northampton In the Slipper Chapel meado w. Archbishop McGrath is also expected to attend the ceremony.
The coronation will be followed by a procession along the Holy Mile to the Slipper Chapel, where the crowned statue will be enthroned. At 9 p.m. a torchlight procession will assemble in the Friday Market in Walsingham.
On the following day—for religious, youth groups and children —there will be Pontifical Mass In the Slipper Chapel and an afternoon procession from the Friday Market, August 17 is a day for the clergy, with Maas in the Slipper Chapel, a procession front the Friday Market, and Vespers in the Slipper Chapel.
