CATHOLICS FOR RELIEF WORK ABROAD.

A Catholic Committee for Relief Abroad has now been formed with offices at 155, Windsor House, Victoria Street, London, comprising the U.C.M.. Grail, Ladies of Charity, E.O.M., C.A.G.O., C.S.G., Catholic Nurses Guild, the Sword, K.S.C., and the Sword, K.S.C., and the Catholic Council for International Relations. Bishop Mathew is Ecclesiastical Assistant under the general guidance of the Archbishop of Birmingham, who originally proposed the scheme. A register of suitable Catholics willing to undertake relief work abroad has been opened. The Committee becomes the official Catholic constituent body of the Council of British Societies for Relief Abroad, formed last autumn at the suggestion of the Government.
