Hume leaves hospital

CARDINAL Hume left Westminster Hospital on Tuesday, 19 days after an operation for the complete replacement of his left hip.
On medical advice he will not resume a full programme of activities until April 10, the week after Easter when he is expected to take part in the Low Week meeting of the Bishop's Conference, of which he is president.
The Cardinal said: "I wish to thank most sincerely those friends and well wishers who have given me such encouragement and support by their many prayers, good wishes and gifts."
