Fr. Sebastian Lambert, O.S.B.
Fr, Sebastian Lambert died at Amplelords on Wednesday. Match 1. He was barn in Norwich in 1884, and educated with his two brothers at Arnpleforth. In 1902 he received the Benedictine Habit, and after completing his *tactics at Oxford and Ampleforth he was ordained in 1911, He bore a large share in the management and teaching of the school at Atnplefortb until 1956 when, at the age of 72, he was relieved of all &lye light duties.
Dr. James Darante, O.H.E.
Dr, James A. Durante, who in 1940 was Medical Officer in charge of the Gibraltar Evacuation Scheme and later Assistant Medical Officer of Health In London and then Assistant Regional Medical Officer of Health, Cambridgeshire, has died in Gibraltar. Axed 68, Dr. Durante studied at the London Hospital before joining the R.A.M.C, In 1914. From 1918-39, he was honorary Physician to the Bishop or Gibraltar. clergy and religious orders; be also per:tonally treated levers in Gibraltar's isolation hospital. He ee-eetablagted the Gibralter branch of the British Medical Aesociation in 1927, and was its secretary for 25 years. He was created a Fellow of the British Medical Association in 1960, and was honoured the same year with the Papal moss Pro Ecclesta et PonflIke. He was awarded the 0.11.5, in 1959, Mr. Andrew O'Leary A Well known Irishman in London. Mr Andrew O'Leary. who was for many years head of the Income Tax Department of the National Bank at its head office in Old Broad Street, has died at his home in Highgate. Mr. O'Leary, who was front Clortakilty, Co. Cork. leaves a widow and a daughter. Mrs. Catbleen Monahan.
Mr. O'Leary entered the British Civil Service by open competition in 1901 and he spent big early years at Somerset House, later tieing seconded to Glyn Mills and Company, the bankers, and he then tramsleered to the Natiunal Bank, where he became for many years Manager of the Income Tax Department.
He was one of the first members of the Irish National Club in Chancery Lane, which began .in 1g02, Mr. O'Leary was a founaer member of the Inch Club in Eaton Square and there wag scarcely an Irish body in London to which he did not give strong support,
