Rev. T. L. Fichter

About two years ago the Rev. Terence Leo Fichter, of the diocese of Southwark, was obliged to resign active duty and go into retirement on account of ill-health. The ill-health unfortunately persisted, and Fr. Fichter died on the 2nd inst., in his fifty-ninth year.
Many parishes in the south were served by the deceased priest after his ordination in 1902. His first mission was Blackheath; thence he went, in 1903, to Walworth, and later he was successively assistant priest at St. Joseph's, Brighton, St. Agatha's, Kingston, and Balham. In 1912 he was appointed rector at Sittingbourne; there followed rectorships, all for comparatively brief periods, at Haywards Heath, Effingham, Peckham, South Croydon, Leatherhead, and Guildford.
