CORONATION AT BANNEUX

Queen of the Nations
THE statue of Our Lady of Banneux, Queen of Nations. will be crowned in Banneux, Belgium, on Tuesday, eve of the Feast of the Assumption, by Bishop Kerkhofs of Liege, assisted by his Coadjutor, Bishop van Zuylen.
Our Lady is said to have appeared 23 years ago to a poor child. As Our Lady of Banneux she was given two titles: Our Lady of the Poor and Queen of Nations.
The statue of Our Lady of the Poor is to stay in a small chapel and the site of the apparitions will remain without decoration.
Near the chapel a basilica will be built to house a second sanctuary, that of Our Lady Queen of Nations. lt. is here that Our Lady Queen of Nations will be crowned. Midnight Mass will be celebrated there on August 15.
More than 100 sanctuaries have now been dedicated to Our Lady of Banneux.
