JESUIT CHURCII PACKED FOR NOVENA

The Novena of Grace in honour of St. Francis Xavier has brought packed congregations each evening to the Jesuit Church. Farm Street. London-crowds far larger than were expected.
The special service at 6.30 p.m.sermon on the saint, novena devotions, Benediction and veneration of the relic-will end on Monday, the anniversary of St. Francis Xavier's canonisation, when Bishop Craven will give Benediction.
Hundreds of petitions for favours to be granted during the novena have been placed at the saint's altar, where Mass is offered daily for these intent ions.
