More Masses Than Ever In Northampton Diocese

IN more than 100 remote villages sf the seven-county Northampton diocese, Mass has recently been said for the first time since the Reformation, says the new edition of the Year Book, telling of the work of the Travelling Mission in its first four years.
Mass is being said annually-in some cases more often-at 125 centres, and 21 centres are now regularly served from neighbouring parishes, monthly or even weekly.
A chapter on the Suffolk Martyrs is preceded by a report on Walsingham, where although pilgrimages have been fewer in the past year, the number of pilgrims has been greater.
A stained-glass window proposed last year for the Slipper Chapel has been ordered and will be installed in the summer.
