192-mile walk for seafaring charity

A NORTHUMBERLAND couple have walked 192 miles to raise money for the Apostleship of the Sea (AOS), the Catholic charity for seafarers.
Experienced walkers Veronica and Eddie Yarwood from St Wilfrid's parish, Haltwhistle, walked coast-to-coast across the north of England, from St Bee's in Cumbria to Robin Hood's Bay, Yorkshire. The pair covered the distance in 17 days. They have so far raised more than £1,000 for the benefit of seafarers.
