THE community of the Car
melite convent in Lisieux, where St. Teresa of the Child Jesus lived and died, are praying for her sister. and their prioress Mother Agnes, who is seriously ill.
The nuns have asked the laity also to pray for her.
Mother Agnes is 89. She was formerly Pauline Martin, one of five sisters who all became nuns.
St. Teresa as a child regarded Pauline as her mother, for Mme Martin died when the future saint was only four years old. Pauline was 12 years her senior.
