Mgr. Grimshaw Visits Exeter

The Catholics of Exeter united on Sunday, October 26, the Feast of Christ the King, to give a tremendous welcome to their new Bishop, Mgr. Grimshaw, Of Plymouth.
His Lordship was visiting Exeter to induct Er. Patrick Tobin as parish priest of the Sacred Heart Church.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Exeter, Alderman and Mrs. Wills, gave a civic reception and welcome to the Bishop at the Guildhall.
The civic reception was followed later by a second reception given to Mgr. Grimshaw and Fr. Cobin at the Civic Hall, by the Catholics of Exeter.
Mr. C. J. Newman, Town Clerk. gave an address of welcome to His Lordship, and Mr. W. J. Keast extended a welcome to Fr. Cobin on behalf of the parishioners of the Sacred Heart Church.
Pontifical Benediction at the Sacred Heart Church brought a redi letter day for Exeter Catholics to a, close.
