Birmingham
The following engagements for Mgr. Williams, Archbishop of Birmingham, are officially announced: Sunday, July 7.—Attends High Mass at Cathedral and preaches, 11 a.m.
Confirmation at St. John's, Great Haywood, 6.30 p.m.
The following engagements for Mgr. Bernard Griffin, Bishop Auxiliary of Birmingham, arc officially announced :
Sunday, July 7.—Visitation and Confirmation at St. Michael's, West Bromwich, 6.30 P.m.
Sunday, July 14.—Visitation and Confirmation at the Church of Our Lady, Dudley, 6.30 p.m.
Cardiff
The following engagement for Mgr. McGrath, Archbishop of Cardiff, is officially an n ounced : Sunday, July 'I.—Holds Ordination at Belmont Abbey, Hereford, Notice.—The Cardiff Diocesan Annual Clergy Retreat will not be held this year.
Southwark
The following engagements for Archbishop Amigo, Bishop of Southwark, are officially announced: Sunday, July 7.—Assists at High Mass in the Cathedral at 10.30 (1st day of the week of penance and prayer).
Visitation at Clapham Common at 7. (Confirmation will be given in the Cathedral at 3.30 by the Bishop of Pella.) Thursday, July 11.—Visitation at Sydenham, 8.

The following engagements for Mgr. McNulty, Bishop of Nottingham, are officially announced: Sunday, July 7. Visitation and Confirmation at the Church of Our Lady of Beauchief and St, Thomas of Canterbury, Woodseats, Sheffield.
Monday, July 8.—Opens new buildings at the Becket School, Wilford Lane, West Bridgford, Notts.
ORDINATIONS
Marists
The following Marist students were raised to the priesthood by Mgr. T. Shine, Bishop of Middlesbrough, on Sunday at St. Alphonsus' Church, North Ormesby: The Revv, Peter Stoyle, Fleestee, Latham and B. Costello—all Old Boys of St. Mary's College, Linthorpe.
The Rev. P. Storey, of Everingham, was raised to the sub-diaconate.
Liverpool
At an ordination ceremony held at the Church of St. Anthony, Scotland Road. Liverpool, on Sunday last, Dr. Downey, Archbishop of Liverpool, raised the following to the priesthood: The Revv. James Carter, Arthur Brady (Liverpool).
The Rev. Bernard Lovelady (Middlesbrough).
Frs. Louis Lachal and John Fahy, SJ., two Australian Jesuits who were studying in Rome when Italy entered the war.
Nottingham
On the Feast of SS. Peter and Paul at St. Barnahas' Cathedral, Nottingham, the Bishop of Nottingham, Mgr. J. McNulty, conferred the priesthood on the following: The Revv, James Kearns, Emil Pitman and Tem= Brady (Westminster). The subdiaconate was conferred upon the Rev.
F. K. Brennan and on Bro. Francis Wharton, C.R.L.
Oscott Mgr. Griffin, Bishop Auxiliary of Birmingham, conferred, on June 29 at Oscott College, the priesthood on the Rev. A. Bull (Northampton). the diaconate on the Rev. P. Devlin, M.S.F.S., and the sub-diaconate on the Revs. F. Woodward (Birmingham).
G. Gailacher (Birmingham), D. Topless (Birmingham), J. Reidy (Northampton), J. McBrearty (Cardiff). J. Griffiths (Birmingham), W. Concfrey (Birmingham), J. O'Dwyer (Birmingham) and A. McIver (Birmingham).
The Bishop also conferred the last two Minor Orders on twelve students. On the previous evening he had given the Tonsure to eleven other students.
Mgr. McNulty, Bishop of Nottineham. also conferred at Oscott, on June 27, the Tonsure on the students. giving them the first two Minor Orders on the following day.

Leeds
The following appointment in the Diocese of Leeds is officially announced : The Rev, Arthur Kay, to be parish priest of St. Patrick's, Birstall.
