Supreme Knight elected

Mr. Thomas McMenemy
Mr, Thomas McMenemy, Deputy Supreme Knight of the Knights of St. Columba. was appointed Supreme Knight at a meeting of the Board of Directors on Saturday at the K.S.C. Club in London.
He succeeds Mr. Daniel Kelly. who died on October 24. within a month of his re-election for a second term of office.
Mr. S. J. Millon, Su pr e me Treasurer. has been appointed Deputy Supreme Knight, Mr. H. Gutteridge, Supreme Treasurer, and Mr. P. D. O'Connell. of the Clifton province, as a Director.
Bishop Petit, of Meneyia, ecclesiastical adviser to the K.S.C. order, attended the meeting. and afterwards offered Requiem Mass for Mr. Kelly at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi. Notting Hill.
Mr. MeMenemy has for many years been one of the most prominent Knights of St. Columba in the London area.
Earlier this year the Holy Father conferred upon him the Cross Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice in recognition of his work for the Archconfrateraity of St. Stephen — the altar servers' guild—and his services for 25 years as master of ceremonies at Our Lady of Lourdes. New Southgate.
